Needle book – hand-painted and embroidered flowers on upcycled fabric

A pretty, practical and distinctive needle case, the cover of which is is cut from a piece of hand-painted, upcycled shirt fabric, embellished with hand embroidery. A lovely gift for a sewing friend! I have had some difficulty acheiving an accurate colour representation for this item. Whilst I have tried to correct the first image, on my screen at least the paler flowers look more ‘true blue’ whereas they are actually more of a turquoise colour. The cover of this needlebook is backed with fusible interfacing and lined with a grey checked upcycled checked shirt fabric. Lengths of blue satin ribbon close the needle book with a tied bow. Two pieces of blue boiled wool (a ‘felt like’ fabric) are securely stitched into the center of the cover to provide 4 ‘pages’ for your pins and needles .
